Forever Fierce: Finding Ourselves at Midlife

Hello friend! Today I am discussing an important topic with you. Some of you have even inspired this post! Today I am discussing what it means to be fierce at midlife. And I’m not alone in this discussion. For today is Forever Fierce Day. That’s the day that women (and men) at midlife unite our voices to raise awareness of our mission: to remind everyone that life doesn’t end at middle age! (more…)

My NYFW Experience

My NYFW experience: meeting and seeing friends and other bloggersHello friend! With New York Fashion Week (NYFW) here again, I thought I would write about my experience attending it last September. I meant to do a recap right after the week, but as soon as I got back home, I was inundated with life and work. You see that was the week I had also moved (I know, I was crazy to take a trip during my move)! Let me tell you all about my NYFW experience.

Pants for the Skirt Lover: Eshakti Custom Piece

Eshakti custom | ruffle cotton knit tie front wrap pants | pant | Eshakti review | fashion | style | dramatic | commando sleeveless bodysuit Hello friend! As you know, I am an avid skirt fan. I wear skirts almost daily, mostly to work, as well as the weekends. I have many reasons why I do so, you can read about them in my skirt code posts. But recently, a pant has come along to change my view. That pant is an Eshakti custom piece: the ruffle cotton knit tie front wrap pants. As you can see, it is a pant with a flowy cape/skirt that trails behind it. So now you can see why I like it, it’s as close to a skirt as pants get! čśé

This item was sent to me for review. As always, my opinions are my own and are not swayed by gifted product.

Mindful Month: February 2018 Goals

Blog goals | Instagram success | social media success | staying mindful | purpose | intention

Hello friend! With one month of 2018 already done, I have been thinking a lot about goals, both personal and blog-related. After my 2017 blog recap, I also want to stay mindful of these goals and hold myself accountable for reaching them. Furthermore, I have been encouraged by seeing posts from  Elizabeth of Lizzie in Lace, and Jessica of Not Jess Fashion, to stay true to myself and my mission.

Therefore, I am starting this new series, “Mindful Month” where I set goals for the month ahead and review the goals of the prior month. Since I am just starting this series today, I do not have last month’s goals to review. But let’s jump into my February goals. (more…)
