Hello friend! Doesn’t the thought of summer conjure up images of palm trees swaying lazily in the breeze? Therefore it’s no wonder that we are clamoring to wear this fun print. I’ve been participating by wearing my palm tree print skirt. Let me show you how I’m styling it! I have two skirts to share, one is old from H&M, but the other is new, the linen skirt in palm tree print.
Preppy Palm Tree Print Skirt
I often turn to J Crew for my printed pieces. They just always do a phenomenal job. Luckily for me, they did not disappoint with their new palm tree print skirt. Therefore, I snagged it right away. What I like is that it is not the usual ubiquitous green and white print. Leave it to J Crew to change it up and get the print in a blue!
While on my Instagram, I originally wore this palm tree print skirt with a solid navy top, I always knew I wanted to add more color. Therefore, I decided to throw in some pink with my gingham blouse and heels. The results were just what I wanted. Of course it didn’t hurt that I got to pattern mix too!
For the accessories, I added my new silver clutch. It was a nice contrast in color and texture to the pinks and blues of this palm tree print skirt outfit. I also went with all rose gold jewelry to mirror the tone of the shirt. My standout piece were my Morningstar drop earrings.
Cool and Casual Palm Tree Print Skirt
The palm tree print skirt becomes hip and cool with the addition of a graphic tee. Since I’ve extolled the virtue of the graphic tee so many times, I’ll spare you today. Suffice it to say, I heart it! I’ve worn this H&M palm tree print skirt with a graphic tee before (and three other examples here), therefore it was easy to try it again. This time I changed out the tee for a more colorful one.
The effect is fun and colorful for summer. But with the burnt orange colors, this look can even be carried into the fall.
For the accessories in this palm tree print skirt outfit, I went in opposite directions. With so much color in the actual outfit, I decided to keep the shoes and the bag neutral. These are the largest accessories, so I didn’t want them to detract from the outfit. However, I did add a pop of color with the earrings. Because the color coordinates with the skirt, it helps to unify the entire look.
I hope you enjoyed my two palm tree print skirt outfits. Let me know how you’re wearing palm tree print!
